Summer 2011

This may just look like an old shed full of hay bales but to us it is a major relief. 

This summer has been wet so often (see Rainfall) with another 45mm just now in the second week of January and really major floods in Queensland (probably 20 to 30 dead!) and much of western Victoria under water as well, we really can't complain here about our problems finding a window in which to cut and bail our hay. 

There is a lot of grass still on the paddocks around here where no one has had sufficient  chance to bring it in.

Still, with all the rain and a reasonable bit of sun, the grass is figuratively jumping out of the ground in the paddocks cut for hay and silage.
