The farm is at 240 to 280 metres above sea level with 2 permanent spring-fed creeks. Considering that the main paddocks are in a valley, it is surprisingly immune to frost. The cold appear appears to drain down the creek (to the east) and the ridge on the west provides protection from colder south westerly winds.
